IDA LICHTENEGGER

POCAHONTAS -- Ida O. Lichtenegger, 94, of Pocahontas, died Wednesday, June 5, 1996, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born Feb. 18, 1902, at Altenburg, daughter of Oswald and Lina Petzoldt Palisch. She and Herbert F. Lichtenegger were married Oct. 7, 1923, at Altenburg. He died Jan. 13, 1980.

Lichtenegger was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and Bible Study Group.

Survivors include two sons, Floyd and Herbert Lichtenegger of Jackson; a daughter, Vera Leimer of Jackson; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and great-grandson.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and Saturday at St. John's Church after 9 a.m.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. John Kiehl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
