Ida Kiehne, 89, of Arkansas City, Kan., died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, at the home of a daughter there.
She was born April 13, 1905, in Advance, daughter of Peter and Rosetta Pouthies Hay. She and Carl Kiehne were married Jan. 9, 1932, at Bloomfield. He preceded her in death.
The Kiehnes farmed in Advance and then moved to Cape Girardeau where they owned and operated Kiehne Sinclair Service Stations on South Sprigg, Themis and Broadway. While living here she was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Kiehne had lived in Arkansas City five years.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosalie Rayl of Arkansas City; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-6 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
