IDA FITZGERALD

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Ida Mae Fitzgerald, formerly of Sikeston, will be held at 1 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Fred Leist will officiate, with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from noon to service time.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.

Fitzgerald, 87, died Monday, April 14, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 26, 1909, in Sikeston, daughter of Adolphus and Lutie Smith Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald had lived at Sells Nursing Home in Matthews since 1971. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a nephew, Terry Fitzgerald of Sikeston; three nieces, Mary Young and Pat Fakes of St. Louis, and Judy Mitchell of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
