POCAHONTAS -- Ida E. Rauh, 78, of Pocahontas, died Friday, Dec. 22, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 11, 1917, in Wittenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Stueve. She and Herbert Rauh were married Jan. 12, 1936. He died June 18, 1976.
The Rauhs owned and operated Palace Cafe in Jackson from 1940-52, owned and operated Pocahontas Mercantile from 1952-69, and then she was a cook at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau from 1970 until retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four sons, Charles Rauh of Perryville, John and Robert Rauh of Jackson, Herbert Rauh Jr. of New Port Richey, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara Powell of Pocahontas; a sister, Elsie Boren of New Wells; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
