Ida Dunger

Ida Marie Dunger, daughter of the late William Henry and Manda Julia Peetz Dunger, was born May 23, 1927, in Fornfelt and departed this life Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 94 years.

Ida was baptized June 19, 1927, in Illmo, by the Rev. George Hilpert and then was confirmed by interim Rev. Walter Keisker on June 23, 1940.

Ida graduated from Fornfelt High School in 1945. She worked at the Cape Bus Terminal and then was a teller at the Bank of Illmo/Regions Bank.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Drury of Saint Charles, Missouri, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Apart from her parents, Ida was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Schroeder, and three brothers, William, Clarence and Charles Dunger.

There will be a memorial service at the Eisleben Lutheran Church at a later date.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is charge of the arrangements.
