BLOOMFIELD -- Ida Mae Allen, 91, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter. She was born Sept. 26, 1908, in Sikeston, daughter of James Kirkpatrick and Ida Green Williams Engram. She and William E. Allen were married Aug. 23, 1930, at Winona. He died May 28, 1979...

BLOOMFIELD -- Ida Mae Allen, 91, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born Sept. 26, 1908, in Sikeston, daughter of James Kirkpatrick and Ida Green Williams Engram. She and William E. Allen were married Aug. 23, 1930, at Winona. He died May 28, 1979.

Allen had lived in Mesa, Ariz., and Poplar Bluff, moving to Bloomfield five years ago. She was a member of First Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star in LaPlata. She was a member of Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem in Mesa.

Survivors include two nieces, Sue Tippen of Bloomfield, Patricia Hawkins of Blue Springs; four nephews, John Cope of Cape Girardeau, James Cope of San Jose, Calif., Clyde Cope of St. Ann, and Iley Cope of Nashville, Ill.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald King officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
