OAK RIDGE -- Memorial service for Hurshel L. Jones of Fallon, Nev., was held Oct. 6.
Smith Funeral Home in Fallon was in charge of arrangements.
Jones, 68, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1994, at Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon.
He was born May 7, 1926, in Cape Girardeau County, son of John H. and Hattie Ramsey Jones.
Jones was a businessman in Fallon. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War, and was awarded a Silver Star.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; a son, Tim Jones; two daughters, Lori Levin and Amy Matzen; stepchildren, JoAnne Pletzer, Susan Kissler; all of Fallon; five brothers, Bill Jones of Fallon, John Jones of Oak Ridge, Larry Jones of Burfordville, Floyd Jones of Kermit, Calif., Harold Jones of Palmdale, Calif.; a sister, Novella Gilliland of Prescott, Ariz., and six grandchildren.
