HUBERT WHITWORTH

Hubert H. Whitworth, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 15, 1931, at Fredericktown, son of Gilford and Maude Whitworth. He and Thelma Quinton were married Feb. 28, 1952, in Pocahontas, Ark.

Whitworth had worked at Purex Co. in St. Louis and at Mississippi Lime in Ste. Genevieve. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3838.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold Whitworth of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Karen and Rhonda Whitworth of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Winston Whitworth of Fredericktown; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Follis-Sonderman Funeral Home in Fredericktown after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marcus Memorial Park.
