PERRYVILLE -- Hubert V. Richardet Sr., 71, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at his home.

He was born June 22, 1926, in Perry County, son of William J. and Rosa Stortz Richardet.

He married Rita Winschel Sept. 9, 1950, at Perryville. She survives.

He worked for many years as a carpenter in Perry County and joined Kiefner Brothers Construction Co. as a supervisor until his retirement in 1982.

He was an Army veteran. He was member of the Holy Name Society, VFW in Perryville, and the Carpenters' Union Local 2030 at Ste. Genevieve. He was past president and a member of the board of directors of the Association of Retarded Citizens.

Survivors include sons, William J. Richardet of High Ridge, Stephen P. Richardet of Jackson, Dave L. Richardet, Mike E. Richardet, Jeff A. Richardet and Hubert V. Richardet Jr., all of Perryville; daughters, Kathy Ploeger of Ballwin and Brenda Buonasera, Belleair Beach, Fla.,; sisters, Lorena Wibbenmeyer and Rita Zahner, both of Perryville, and Lillian Zoellner of St. Louis; and 17 grandchildren.

Service will be at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, C.M., officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

A parish wake service will be held Monday at 7 p.m., with a VFW service at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call from 6:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. Tuesday.

The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
