JACKSON -- Hubert Lee Tucker Sr., 78, of Jackson, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center

He was born Sept 17, 1912, in Durham, N.C., son of Luther W. and Corrina Ashley Tucker.

He was a member of the Illmo Baptist Church and had worked for the Alcoa Aluminum Company of Palisades Park, N.J. He retired in 1971.

He married Blanche Godwin on June 11, 1933, in Dunn, N.C. She survives of Jackson.

Other survivors are two sons, Hubert Lee Tucker, Jr, Waterford Va. and Lawrence B. Tucker, Jackson; one daughter, Nancy Pryde, Wentzville; two brothers, Carl Tucker, Camirillo, Calif. and Lester Tucker, Erwin, N.C.; one sister, Elizabeth Gregory, Dunn, N.C.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
