BENTON -- H.R. Crumpecker Jr., 81, of Benton died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 7, 1918, in Fisher, La., son of Herman Roe and Elzada Martin Crumpecker Sr. He and Minnie Lee Treece were married Sept. 25, 1954, at Benton.
Crumpecker was a retired farmer, and attended the Church of Christ in Blodgett.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gail Hoffman of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Curtis Crumpecker of Union; two sisters, Margaret Huff of Orange, Texas, Maureen Lee of Pleasant Hill, La.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Russell Rice and the Rev. Art Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery at Benton.
