THEBES, Ill. -- Homer William "Gator" Wallace, 74, of Thebes, died Tuesday, June 7, 1994, at his home.

He was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Alton, son of William Leonard and Anna M. Townsley Wallace. He married the former Jeanette Storm.

Wallace was a retired truck driver, and was retired from the Alton Police Department.

Survivors include two brothers, Edward Wallace of Alton, Leonard Wallace of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Ada Walker of Gillespie, and Ida Gilbert of Cumming, Ga.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. F.M. Speakman officiating.
