GOREVILLE, Ill. -- Homas Duco "Duke" Montgomery III, 35, of Goreville, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 1994, in a car accident.
He was born Dec. 3, 1958, in Herrin, son of John and Louise Turnage Montgomery. He and Pamela Terry were married Aug. 19, 1978, in Goreville.
Montgomery formerly sold roofing in the Cape Girardeau, Mo., area. He also had worked for Johnson's Siding and Replacement Windows in Goreville.
Survivors include his wife; his father and stepmother, John and Sandy Montgomery of Ogallala, Neb.; his mother and stepfather, Louise and Gene Dwyer of Marion; three sons, Caleb and Daniel Montgomery of the home, Clark Mitchell of Marion; a daughter, Leah Montgomery of the home; a brother, J.C. Montgomery of Goreville; a sister, Rowena Beasley of Marion; a half sister, Leann Montgomery of Ogallala, and maternal grandparents, Louie and Emma Turnage of Marion.
Friends may call at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion from 5-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Terry Haynes officiating. Burial will be in McKinney Chapel Cemetery.
