Hollin Nealy Pender, 99, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at The Lutheran Home, 2825 Bloomfield Road.
He was born Dec. 22, 1898, in Anna, Ill., the son of Richard and Alice Toler Pender. He married Eula Linebarger on June 16, 1923, in Jackson. She died Oct. 19, 1991.
He attended grade school in Anna and retired from International Shoe Co. in 1963. He was a former board member of Christ Episcopal Church in Cape Girardeau.
He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Masonic order for over 53 years. He was also a member of the Scottish Rites, Eastern Star and the Order of Calvary White Shrine 8.
He is survived by and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, with Masonic services by St. Mark's Lodge 93 at 10:30. Funeral services will begin at 11, with the Rev. Nathaniel Pyron officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
