ANNA, Ill. -- Hilbert Adams, 92, of Anna died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at his home.
He was born July 7, 1908, in Anna, son of John Quincy and Ada May Bowman Adams. He and Mary F. Wright were married Aug. 14, 1937, in Jackson, Mo. She died March 29, 1997.
Adams was a retired timber laborer.
Survivors include two daughters, Beatrice Stevens of Anna and Iona Pilgrim of Plain View, Texas; two sons, Basil Adams and David Adams, both of Jonesboro, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, a half-brother and a son.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek.
