McCLURE, Ill. -- Hester "Sis" Williams, 65, of McClure died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 11, 1943, in Gale, Ill., to Ray and Pansy Prater Kirby. She married James H. Williams Feb. 14, 1961.
Williams was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She had worked as a cashier at Food Town, Wal-Mart and Kmart.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jamie Williams of McClure; a grandson, Jeremiah Hale; a brother, Lee (Nelda) Kirby of Thebes, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Kathryn Kirby of Thebes; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elvis Kirby.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lindsey Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
