Hester Mier

ADVANCE, Mo. -- L. Hester Mier, 71, of Advance passed away Monday, June 14, 2010, at her home.

She was born Feb. 27, 1939, at Parma, Mo., daughter of John and Lillie James Putney. She and Larry Wayne Mier were married Sept. 19, 1958, at Dexter, Mo. He preceded her in death May 31, 2005.

Hester was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.

Survivors include two sons, Scottie Mier of Fredericktown, Mo., Garry Mier of Advance; a daughter, Nelda Livingston of Advance; two brothers, Lee Putney of Arizona, Lawrence Putney of Michigan; three sisters, Alline Baker of Michigan, Ora Putney and Easter Larue of Dexter; four grandchildren, Darren and Dirk Livingston, Lynetta and Gabe Mier.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery at Oran, Mo.
