JACKSON -- Hester Ada Borgfield, 80, of Jackson died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 4, 1919, at Pocahontas, daughter of Rudolph and Eutha Childs Ruehling. She and Ervin Borgfield were married Sept. 26, 1937, at Pocahontas. He died May 7, 1994.
Borgfield had worked at the former Sugar Creek Creamery and Jackson Hosiery Mill, Schaper's IGA, Cape LaCroix and the Lutheran Home. She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Borgfield of Jackson, Danny Borgfield of Fruitland; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
