SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Hester Ann Thomas, Sikeston Route 1, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Clarence Dailey and Patrick Hogan will officiate.

Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. Friday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home in Bradenton, Fla. Burial will follow in Fogartyville Cemetery in Bradenton.

Thomas, 93, died Monday, June 14, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 28, 1900, in Manchester, daughter of Charles Edgar and Magnolia Serena Gilliam Hickerson. She married William A. Thomas Sr. Oct. 7, 1917, in Manchester.

Thomas lived in Bradenton from 1921 until moving to Sikeston 12 years ago. In Bradenton she worked in retail clothing sales. She was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Lemmons of Sikeston; a sister, Frances Jones of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a niece whom she reared, Mary Dailey of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.
