HERSHEL K. ROUSSEL

Funeral service for Hershel Kenneth Roussel of Flovilla, Ga., was held May 5 at Haisten Funeral Chapel in Jackson, Ga. The Rev. Gary Jakes officiated, with burial in Juliette United Methodist Church Cemetery in Juliette, Ga.

Roussel, 76, died Monday, May 3, 1993, at his home.

He was born June 20, 1916, in Arkansas, son of William and Rosa Tate Roussel. His parents died when he was 13, and he was then reared by an aunt and uncle, Molly and Bill Morton of Leemon.

Roussel was district manager of National Life and Accident Insurance Co. in Cape Girardeau and Paducah, Ky., for 25 years. He was a former member of First Church of the Nazarene here.

He was caretaker of Indian Springs Holiness Campground at Flovilla many years. He was a member of Jackson Church of the Nazarene, and Indian Springs Camp of Gideons International.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, James Roussel of Brentwood, Tenn., William Roussel of Cape Girardeau, Steven Roussel of Franklin, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
