Herman Wayne Swan, 68, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born April 10, 1932, in Grassy, Mo., son of Charles Abel and Ida May Hillis Swan.
He owned Swan Equipment Sales and was an auto body equipment salesman.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis W. Swan of Petersburg, Tenn., and Kevin W. Swan of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a stepson, Jim McGinley of Fredericktown, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Russert of Blue Springs, Mo.; a special friend, Juanita Swan; three brothers, Abel and Norman Swan, both of Marble Hill, Mo., and Vernon Swan of Florissant, Mo.; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the chapel. The Revs. Gene Robbins and Ted Elledge will officiate, with burial in Grassy Cemetery.
