KARNAK, Ill. -- Herman Meyers, 89, of Karnak died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at Southgate Health Care Center in Metropolis, Ill.

He was born to Charley and Mary Cain Meyers, and married Bernice Little in 1939, who survives.

He was a retired employee of Main Brothers Box and Lumber Co. in Karnak, a World War II veteran and a member of Belknap Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call today from 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Capps officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery at Boaz, Ill.
