Herman Hebenstreit

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Herman J. Hebenstreit, 70, of Advance died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Advance Nursing Home.

He was born Oct. 16, 1936, at Benton, Mo., son of Ben and Alma Scherer Hebenstreit. He and Dorothy Winchester were married July 11, 1969, in Advance.

Hebenstreit was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Advance and retired from the Laborer Local 282 in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Brian Winchester of Advance, Mo.; a sister, Lavada Bene of O'Fallon, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. David Dohogne will officiate, with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Advance.
