MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Herbert Carl Scott, 80, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at Eldercare of Marble Hill.
He was born Aug. 23, 1921, in St. Louis County, son of James Elmer and Alma Wilferth Scott. He and Anna Mae Holschen were married in 1952. She died Nov. 5, 1988.
Scott was a railroad baggage and mail handler 28 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo., and Baggers Union.
Survivors include two sons, James Scott of Perryville, Mo., John Scott of Marble Hill; a daughter, Mary Ann Scott of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Jeanette Miller of Bismarck, Mo.; a brother, Dewey Scott of Arnold, Mo.; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 5-8 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30-11:30 a.m.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ronald Paseur will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
