SCOTT CITY -- Herbert Lee Karraker, 67, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 21, 1926, at Benton, son of Herbert Lee Karraker and Clara Etta Morrow.
He marred Sally Summers June 14, 1986, at Scott City. She survives.
Other survivors include two step sons, Ricky Bles, Fort Worth, Tex. and Randy Bles, Waco, Tex; five step daughters, Vickie Vickers, Dianne Seaton, and Sheila Swinford, all of Fort Worth, Tex., Donnie Johnson, Palm Beach, Fl., Barbara Walls, Uvalda, Ga.; a brother, Lindell Karraker, Scott City; three sisters, Helen Welter, Kelso, Wanda Hunter, Collinsville, Ill., and Barbara Glenn, Florida; 16 step grandchildren; and 12 step great grandchildren.
He retired after working 30 years at General Motors Co. in Flint, Mich. He served in the Army during World War II. He was amember of VFW Post 3838 of Cape Girardeau and Eagles Aerie 3775 of Cape Girardeau.
Service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
