HERBERT J. KNOTT

PERRYVILLE -- Herbert Joseph Knott, 81, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 14, 1995, at his home.

He was born Dec. 19, 1913, at Belgique to Joseph Henry and Stella Griffith Knott. He was married to Alice K. Kaempfe, who preceded him in death July 17, 1982.

Knott owned and operated Skelgas before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II.

Survivors include two brothers, Arthur Knott of Perryville and Alphonse Knott of Jackson, and a sister, Anna Scheer of St. Joseph. He was preceded in death by a brother and a half-sister.

A memorial service will be set at a later date. Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville is in charge of arrangements.
