Funeral service for Herbert H. Pensel, 82, 104 Park, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl Richardson will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Pensel died Tusday, May 7, 1991, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Dec. 22, 1908, at Tilsit, son of August William and Mathilde Zeller Pensel. He and the former Esther M. Farrow were married May 11, 1945, in St. Louis.
Pensel owned H.H. Pensel Shoe Repair Shop here 36 years. He was a member of Trinity Church, VFW Post 3838, and former member of Trinity Men's Club. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Pensel of Lutesville; two daughters, Emma Thompson of Cape Girardeau, Margie Fox of Farmington; four sisters, Mary Wilson of Pinehurst, N.C., Flora Miller of Cape Girardeau, Elda Arnold of Hazelwood, Meta Joss of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, and two grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson and Bobby Fox.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and two sisters.
