JACKSON, Mo. -- Herbert Jackson Garner, 95, of Jackson and formerly of Bell City, Mo., died on Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Garner was born Dec. 2, 1905, in Ardiola, Mo., son of George and Ada Summers Garner. He and Clara Ford were married, and she died March 17, 1980.
He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a 50-year member of Lakeville Lodge 489 AF&AM at Bell City.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one brother, Eugene Garner of Bell City, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
