Herbert Amberger

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Herbert T. Amberger, 78, of Perryville died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Perry Oaks Manor.

He was born April 13, 1930, at Belgique, Mo., son of Otto Joseph and Ella A. Phillips Amberger. He and Leila May Mueller were married April 19, 1974. She died April 25, 2007.

Amberger retired as a dock worker at Gilster-Mary Lee. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Ruby Rodewald of St. Mary, Mo., Mary Rankin of Sparta, Ill., and Leona Lawson of Yuba City, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
