JACKSON -- Funeral service for Herbert A. Sander of Jackson was held Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit. The Rev. Dell Crockett officiated, with burial in the church cemetery.

Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Sander, 82, died Thursday, July 29, 1993, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 17, 1911, at Tilsit, son of William and Bertha Feuerhahn Sander. He and Hulda Fluegge were married Sept. 26, 1937, at Tilsit. She died in January 1988.

Sander was a truck driver with Missouri Pacific Truck Lines, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Immanuel Church.

Survivors include a son, Leon Sander of Scott City; a sister, Adelia Meier of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
