FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Henry A. Underwood, 89, of Fredericktown died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at his home.

He was born Feb. 27, 1913, at Grassy, Mo., son of Harley and Lula Underwood. He and Aubrey Schwering were married May 12, 1946, at Marble Hill, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Underwood of Fredericktown; a daughter, Nancy Basden of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren, Derek Underwood, Kalo Underwood of Marble Hill, Melisa Armstrong of Glen Allen, Mo., Logan Underwood and Jason Basden of Fredericktown, Scott Basden of Wichita, Kan., Cory Basden of Fredericktown; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers, and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown after 5 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Statler will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Allen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or United Methodist Church.
