ANNA, Ill. -- Henry M. Tellor, 83, of Anna, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at the Veterans Home in Anna.
He was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Alto Pass, son of Melvin and Alma Fox Tellor. He and Carrie Joy VanAmburg were married.
Tellor worked as a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a former member of the Anna VFW and a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Caran Mayberry of Jonesboro, Ruby Adams of Cobden, Rose Mowery of Jonesboro and Janet Dunville of Sebree, Ky.; a son, James (Jim) Dillon of Carterville; two brothers, Walter Tellor of Dongola and Donald Tellor of Vienna, Ill.; two sisters, Agnes Frieze of Alto Pass, Ill., and Esther Barker of Anna; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at the funeral home with the Rev. David Eidson officiating. Interment will be in Jonesboro Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at graveside by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 Anna VFW.
