HENRY RUSSELL WARFIELD

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service will be held Wednesday for Henry Russell Warfield of Cape Girardeau. Warfield died Friday, March 1, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 80.

He was born in Show, Miss. on July 31, 1910 to Willie Melvin Warfield and Mary Jane Harris Warfield.

He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Futrell Temple in Cape Girardeau. He was a Senior Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, a member of Board of Trustees and a member of the NAACP for many years. He was self-employed.

On Dec. 25, 1932, he married Carrie Murray of Natchez, Miss. They couple has lived in Cape Girardeau since 1936.

He is survived by his wife, two brothers, David Warfield and Clifton Warfield of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ Futrell Temple with Elder William Bird officiating.

Burial will follow in the Warfield Family Cemetery in Oran.
