OLMSTED, Ill. -- Henry O. Rogers, 89, of Olmsted died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born July 24, 1914, in Golconda, Ill., son of Charles G. and Grace Trial Rogers.
Rogers retired as a lawn keeper and gardener from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a brother, Clifford Rogers, and a sister, Dorothy Baines, both of Michigan.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 12:15 p.m. Friday at National Cemetery in Mound City, Ill. The Rev. Travis Rose Sr. will officiate. Full military honors will be by Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 in Mounds, Ill.
Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
