JACKSON - Henry R. Hennecke, 86, of Jackson died Sunday, June 9, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 2, 1905, at Whitewater, the son of Charles and Amanda Penney Hennecke. He married Mabel Grebe on Feb. 21, 1929, at Marble Hill. She survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Anna Marie Stroder of Sedgewickville, Betty Hennecke of Jackson, Wanda Eakins of Whitewater, and Diane Grayum of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Lucille Poinsett of Whitewater; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
He worked as an engineer on the river. He later worked for Washington University as a plumber, retiring in 1972.
There will be no visitation and a private funeral service will be held, with the Rev. Chester Pulliam officiating. Internment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery. McCombs Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
