JACKSON -- Henry Puls, 76, a prominent Jackson businessman, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 4, 1916, at Jackson, son of Henry and Addie Russell Puls. He and Doris Long were married July 3, 1948, in Blytheville, Ark.
Puls owned and operated Boss and Puls Insurance Agency here more than 40 years. He served on the boards of Capital Bancorporation and Capital Bank.
He was a member of Bank Trust Committee, Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post here, and New McKendree United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Puls of St. Louis; three daughters, Mary King of Jackson, Linda Jones and Carol Walters of St. Louis; a brother, Ed Puls of Jackson, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
There is no visitation.
Private funeral service will be held Monday. Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
