Henry Charles "Bud" Leiner Jr., 85, of Scott City died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 13, 1917, at Fornfelt, Mo., son of Henry Charles and Millie Myrtle Johnson Leiner Sr. He and Dorothy Mae Belk were married June 27, 1939, at Fornfelt.
Mr. Leiner was a retired engineer with Cotton Belt Railroad. He was postmaster at Fornfelt from 1939 to 1942.
Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Don W. and Pat Leiner of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three granddaughters and spouses, Michelle and Perry Farmer, Angie and Lanny Corcimiglia, Lori and Shawn Shelton, all of Poplar Bluff; three great-grandchildren, Danielle Farmer, Jacob and Hannah Corcimiglia.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
