MARBLE HILL -- Henry D. Hickam, 82, of Doolittle and formerly of Marble Hill, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at Delmar Gardens at Chesterfield.
He was born March 14, 1917, at Lutesville, son of James and Isabelle Eaker Hickam. He and Lillie E. Goforth were married Oct. 11, 1936, at Lutesville. She died April 20, 1997.
He was a retired machinist and a member of District 9, International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union. He attended the Doolittle Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Russel Hickam of St. Charles and John Michael Hickam of Eureka; three daughters, Patricia Purdy, Wanda Est and Joyce Brown, all of St. Charles; a brother, Lee Hickam of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Helen Price of Alabama and Jewell Lillie of California; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Fred Ritter will officiate. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery.
