ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Funeral for Henry Fischer of Altenburg will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel. The Rev. Ronald Paseur will officiate. ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Funeral for Henry Fischer of Altenburg will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel. The Rev. Ronald Paseur will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Altenburg.

Fischer, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at PerryOaks Manor in Perryville, Mo.

He was born Aug. 10, 1913, in Altenburg, son of Edward John and Eva Kuennell Fischer. He and Alice Vogel were married Sept. 14, 1939. She died March 1, 2001.

Fischer retired as owner/operator of Fischer's Place in Altenburg. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and former member of the Bank of Altenburg Board of Directors.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and a sister.
