Helga A. Adams, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Randles to James A. and Pauline Davis Hicks.
Helga was a certified nurse assistant and worked in home health care. She loved gardening and fishing. Her pride and joy were her two grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Hicks of Cape Girardeau; brother, Joseph Thompson of Cape Girardeau; brother-in-law, Dennis Cloninger of Fredericktown, Missouri; sisters, Sharon Tricamo of St. Louis, Patricia (Carl) Hobeck of Chester, Illinois, and Betty McCormick of Cape Girardeau; grandson, Dustin Welker of Cape Girardeau; and granddaughter, Ashlyn Gross of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Adams; brother, Larry Hicks; and sister, Sonja Cloninger.
According to her wishes, there will be no services.
