JACKSON -- Funeral service for Mrs. Helen W. Sander of Jackson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Sander, 88 years old, died Monday, Dec. 10, 1990, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 7, 1902, in Gordonville, daughter of J.H.C. and Bertha Grossheider Kerstner. She married Edwin J. Sander March 9, 1936, who died Jan. 5, 1960.

Mrs. Sander had lived in Jackson since 1915. She graduated from Cape Business College, and worked at a title company in the Jackson courthouse for 30 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and former member of St. Paul Concordia Guild.

Survivors include two nephews, Meryn Kerstner of Westerville, Ohio, Jim Kerstner of Lakeworth, Fla., and a niece, Mary Parker of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.
