Helen Thompson, 89, of Sikeston, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Sept. 1, 1908.

She married Clarence L. Thompson. He died May 28, 1978.

She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

She and her husband owned and operated Thompson TV and Appliance Store a number of years. They later owned and operated the Community Market.

She is survived by a niece, Jo Ann Lawrence of Cleveland.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cemetery, with the Rev. Randolph Tochtrop officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Ford & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
