Helen Theiss

FROHNA, Mo. -- Helen J. Theiss, 76, of Frohna died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at her home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1936, in Wittenberg, Mo., daughter of Hugo L. and Renata R. Schilling Roth. She and Martin A. "Max" Theiss were married April 14, 1957. He preceded her in death April 10, 2007.

Helen was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wittenberg.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Theiss of Jackson and Gail Theiss of Frohna; and a brother, Melvin C. Roth of Wittenberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Judy K. Dreyer; and a brother, Leonard Roth.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Ron Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church Missions.
