WYATT -- Helen Tatum Evans, 77, of Wyatt, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 1994, at her home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1917, in Columbus, Ky., daughter of Bill and Tina Greenwald Lepchenskie. She and Dee Tatum were married Sept. 13, 1930. He died in 1968. She later married Goldie Evans, who also preceded her in death.
Evans was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Dee Tatum Jr. of Westland, Mich., Frank Tatum of Miner, Bobby Tatum of East Prairie; four daughters, Norma Johnson of East Prairie, Dorothy Laster of Wyatt, Betty Pogue and Barbara Gentz of St. Louis, Eleanor Welch of Sikeston; 28 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 4:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Merritt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
