ANNA, Ill. -- Helen E. Stapleton, 95, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at City Care Center. She was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Alto Pass, Ill. She and Ralph Stapleton were married July 24, 1930, in Wickliffe, Ky. He died June 15, 1995. Stapleton had been a cook at various nursing homes. ANNA, Ill. -- Helen E. Stapleton, 95, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at City Care Center.
She was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Alto Pass, Ill. She and Ralph Stapleton were married July 24, 1930, in Wickliffe, Ky. He died June 15, 1995.
Stapleton had been a cook at various nursing homes. She was formerly of McClure, Ill., and a former member of First Pentecostal Church there.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Fagerburg of Carbondale, Ill.; a grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
There is no visitation.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, with the Rev. Robert Smithey Jr. officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
