HELEN S. FULBRIGHT

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Helen S. Fulbright, 85 years old, of Desloge, was held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with the Rev. Charles E. Buck officiating. Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

She died Thursday, Jan. 3, 1991, at the Desloge Health Care Center.

She was born Aug. 31, 1905, at Bleda, Mo., daughter of Charles and Maud Howell Slinkard.

She was a retired secondary school teacher, having worked for 20 years in Sikeston Public Schools.

She was a member of the Retired School Teachers Association, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston.

On May 27, 1931, she married Marshall Fulbright in Bollinger County.

He preceded her in death Oct. 1, 1978.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann E. Fulbright, of Esther; one brother, William Howell Slinkard, of Marble Hill; and a sister, Madge Jones, of Chaffee.
