Helen Rose

Helen Marie Rose, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born July 3, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Norman Czar and Ruby May Bowerman Canfield. She and Thomas McKinley Rose were married July 17, 1943, in Mississippi County, Ark. He died Jan. 7, 1985.

Rose was a nurses aide at St. Francis Medical Center 37 years, retiring in 1989.

Survivors include three sons, Michael, Stephen and Jeffrey Rose, all of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Betty Hester of Scott City, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William L. Burke officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
