A memorial service for Helen V. Reilly of Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek, Ariz., was held Saturday at the Church of the Red Rocks.
Reilly, 77, died Monday, March 8, 1999, in Cottonwood, Ariz.
A native of Cape Girardeau, Reilly attended elementary and high schools and Southeast Missouri State University.
Reilly worked with the U.S. Maritime Commission in Washington, D.C., during the mid-1940s.
She first married Michael G. Minich in 1945. She later married John F. Reilly in 1981. He died in 1989.
Reilly moved to Sedona in 1989. She had been a member of the choir at Church of the Red Rocks, did volunteer work for the Sedona Humane Society, and tutored young children in reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Carwell of Phoenix, Ariz., Martha Minich of Gales Ferry, Conn.; a sister, Mary Bowers of the Village of Oak Creek; two brothers, Robert Ballard of Waynesville, and Bill Ballard of Waco, Texas.
