HELEN LOUISE ALLEN

ANNA, Ill. - Helen Louise Allen, 65, of Anna, died Friday, March 8, 1991 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 13, 1925 in Union County, the daughter of Arthur Maine and Mary Ethel Sims Linton. She married Howard F. Allen May 10, 1941.

Allen was a member of the Pomona Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Howard Allen of Anna; sons Charles Allen of Anna and Doug Allen of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughters Sue Dixon of Herrin, Ruth Allen and Elizabeth Glasford, both of Anna, Shirley Myers of Fairfield, Patricia Dunston of Tamms, and Diana Cargill of Dongola; sisters Betty McCann of Jonesboro and Barbara Andrews of Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Jim Linton of Jonesboro; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Brenda Lee and Roger Earl; two granddaughters; and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. George Pitts officiating. Burial will be in the Mission Chapel Cemetery.
