MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral for Helen Maxine Johnson of Mounds will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Larry Miller will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.

Johnson, 70, died Thursday, April 2, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Diswood, daughter of Claude and Delcie Miller Bolen.

Johnson was a member of Shiloh Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edward; three daughters, Vicki Walls and Kathy Brey of Mounds, Lisa Dover of Grand Chain; two sisters, Wela Reeves of Mounds, Freida Ice of Union City, Tenn.; a brother, Vernon Bolen of Centralia; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
